Resume Pro Tip #9 (Mind The Gap)
Mind the Gap: Any gaps in your resume need to be justified. Candidates who have gaps of time in their resume where they were not employed and it is not clear what was happening can be a red flag for hiring manager. When you have a gap in your job history, write in italics what you were doing with you time then. If you took time off to raise your kids, go back to school, help a sick family member, or even applying for jobs make sure you list it, otherwise it looks like you just decided to do nothing or spent time with the department of corrections. It will help with further questions down the road.
