RESUME PRO TIP #3 (REMOVE OBJECTIVE)

Your next hiring manager isn’t interested in your hope to “find a position where I can best use my strengths and talents and be recognized for my hard work.” The old MS Word resume templates forced you to invent with some sort of gibberish to fill in this section. This was useless for both the job applicant and the HR Dept. Fortunately, it’s no longer necessary. Use this space instead to summarize your resume. Think of it as another opportunity to input your keywords for ATS Optimization.

More often than not, hiring managers will look at your summary like the back cover of a book. If it sounds interesting, they’ll read it! If it doesn’t sound interesting, they’ll “file” it!
