Reverse Order: The best resumes are always written in reverse chronological order. That is, your most recent position is at the top followed by your previous position, and so on. This may seem counterintuitive, since the story of your life is usually told starting at the beginning and leading to the present. On a resume, however, your most recent position is usually the most relevant and will have the greatest bearing on your next job. This also makes the resume timeline very clear and easy for a hiring manager.
