Our client in Santa Rosa, CA is looking for a Grant Writer.

The company is a highly reputable financial services company based in Sonoma County. The company has been recognized as an Employer of Choice in the North Bay 16 years in a row (and running) and has been successful in the business for over 70 years.

• Study and understand the history, structure, objectives, programs, and financial needs of the organization.

  • Research grant opportunities from government and non-government agencies.
  • Draft grant proposals and supporting documents based on the funding requirements of the organization.
  • Submit proposals to grant coordinators for approval.
  • Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and submitted proposals.
  • Maintain positive relationships with fund providers and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain records and submit reports related to grant opportunities.
  • Assisting with the execution of the development department’s strategy.
  • Identifying grant funding opportunities.
  • Furnishing prospective funders with supporting documents.
  • Collaborating and working closely with the C-Suites/Executives levels
  • Maintaining records in hard copies and computer databases.


  • The position pays $36 – $38 but is willing to stretch depending on the candidate’s experience (must email or call the client first to consult)
  • 25-30 hours a week, some weeks/months no work, some weeks/months busy
  • In the beginning, the position is in the office and eventually can be remote/hybrid once the position is understood and they can consider their own hours.
  • Multiple interviews: (No less than 3 interviews)
